Summary
On July 30, 2025, FFI India facilitated state-level food fortification awareness workshops in Jaipur, Rajasthan, alongside the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and the Department of Women and Child Development (WCD).
These workshops focused on addressing regional micronutrient deficiencies and advocated for fortifying wheat flour used in hot cooked meals under government safety-net programs. FFI presented global evidence on how staple fortification reduces anemia and neural tube defects, while state leadership emphasized expanding field-level training, improving digital monitoring of Take-Home Rations (THR), and scaling up fortification awareness statewide.
