Summary
FFI participated in the International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) Annual Conference and Expo as part of its efforts to expand the Mills for Nutrition (M4N) coalition in North America. At the conference, FFI hosted a booth showcasing M4N and FFI resources, participated in networking events, and met with millers, premix suppliers, and other industry partners to discuss opportunities for collaboration.
Through conversations with key stakeholders, FFI gathered insights on the value M4N can provide to the milling industry. Common themes included the need for stronger advocacy to address food fortification misinformation, educate consumers on the benefits of fortified foods, and support the industry’s response to changing perceptions of grain-based foods. The conference also strengthened relationships with strategic partners and identified opportunities to expand engagement with millers and allied organizations across North America.
