Organized in partnership with UNICEF, GAIN, and the Food Fortification Initiative (FFI), this two-day workshop provided refresher training for government enforcement officers on the use of FortifyMIS—a web-based platform designed for real-time regulatory data collection, processing, and compliance reporting for Mozambique’s National Food Fortification Programme. The event brought together representatives from the Ministry of Economy, national inspection services, customs, and consumer protection agencies to address past operational challenges, receive newly provided tablet devices, and practice digital inspection workflows. Through classroom simulations and field visits to a salt production facility, the Port of Maputo, and a local market, participants tested the system to strengthen regulatory monitoring and support data-driven decision-making to combat micronutrient deficiencies across the country.
