Summary:
The International Food Fortification Virtual Exhibition Fair – West Africa took place on June 12–13, 2025. This event — organized by AIFO-UEMOA CEDEAO, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), GIZ, and partners, under the auspices of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission for Industry and Private Sector and West Africa Health Organization (WAHO), brought together key players in the food fortification industry to foster collaboration, innovation, and business growth in West Africa.
Becky Tsang, FFI Senior Technical Advisor, participated in a panel on LSFF data systems at the virtual West Africa Food Fortification Exhibition Fair on June 13. Her presentation, “Data & M&E of fortification programs,” highlighted key features of the Global Fortification Data Exchange (GFDx) and its use for national fortification stakeholders.
The event had 713 registered participants from 71 countries, with representation from over 200 organizations and industries, as well as governments and United Nations agencies.
