Anna previously worked in the Eastern Mediterranean Region of the World Health Organization (WHO). After successfully promoting salt iodization through partnerships between governments and salt producers, Anna organized multisectoral workshops in 1996 and 1997 which led to a regional flour fortification standard. She also worked as WHO Senior Advisor to the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) where she organized program development workshops for multisectoral country teams. With FFI her special focus is Africa, but she also works with countries in the Middle East and Europe.
